An annual list of social-science books chosen not by sales or citation counts, but by the people who run hotels, cities, ministries, funds and universities — and who have to act on what they read.
Bestseller lists measure what sells. Citation indices measure what other academics cite. Neither tells a hotel owner, a tourism minister or an investment committee which ideas actually held up when they were put to work.
The InsightBridge Global 50 asks a narrower question: which books in the social sciences have most improved how real decisions are made? The answer comes from people who make those decisions, scored against criteria we publish in advance.
Every shortlisted book is scored from 1 to 5 on each criterion by at least three council members.
The council is made up of people who carry responsibility for real outcomes: hotel and tourism executives, public officials, investors, and scholars whose work is used in practice.
Council places are reviewed individually. We confirm each application within two working days.
InsightBridge Global 50 Social Books is the official name of this programme. It is a trade name (DBA) registered with the Wyoming Secretary of State by InsightBridge Global LLC, an independent strategic research firm headquartered in Auburn, Alabama. The registration protects the name under Wyoming law; the list, its rules and its results are issued under this name.
We believe a list is only as credible as its rules. So:
The certificate is published so that anyone can confirm the registration independently; it is provided for verification only.
The programme draws on the editorial resources of InsightBridge Global Press, InsightBridge Global Intelligence and InsightBridge Global News. · Press · Intelligence · News · Lab
Separately from the Global 50 — and not eligible for it — InsightBridge Global Press makes reading copies of Dr. Tong Yin’s books available to verified readers on request.
Each copy is individually marked with the Dynamic Semantic Fingerprint™ (patent pending · CNIPA + PCT): a reader-unique signature woven into the wording itself. It does not affect reading and collects no data about you. It allows a leaked copy to be traced to its source.
Some titles are currently under review with academic publishers; for those, we send an executive summary and sample chapters rather than the full text.
